End-User License Agreement

By installing or using Malware Monitor you accept this License Agreement. If you do not accept these terms, do not install the Software.

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("Licensee") and Magenear ("Licensor") for the use of the Malware Monitor Magento 2 extension ("Software").

1. Definitions

  • Software — the Malware Monitor Magento 2 extension and all associated files, documentation, and updates.
  • License Key — the unique key issued to you upon purchase that activates the Software.
  • Installation — a single running Magento 2 instance accessible at a distinct domain or subdomain in production.
  • Shield License — covers one (1) Installation.
  • Shield Pro License — covers the number of Installations specified at purchase (default: 3).

2. License Grant

Subject to full payment and compliance with this Agreement, Magenear grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to:

  • Install and use the Software on the number of Installations covered by your license tier.
  • Make one (1) backup copy for archival purposes.
  • Receive updates released during your 12-month update period.

Staging and local development environments used solely by your own team do not count against your Installation limit.

4. Permitted Uses

  • Install and run the Software on your licensed Installations.
  • Configure the Software through the Magento admin panel as intended.
  • Engage a developer or agency to install and configure the Software on your behalf, provided they do not retain the License Key after the engagement ends.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Redistribute — share, publish, or distribute the Software or License Key to any third party.
  • Resell or sublicense — sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software.
  • Reverse engineer — decompile, disassemble, or attempt to access the source code.
  • Modify for redistribution — create derivative works for distribution.
  • Circumvent licensing — bypass or disable the license validation mechanisms.
  • Compete — incorporate any part of the Software into a competing product.

6. Source Code

The Software is delivered as compiled and/or encrypted PHP. Source code is not included with standard licenses. Enterprise source access may be arranged by contacting [email protected].

7. Updates and Renewals

Your license includes all updates released within 12 months of purchase. After 12 months:

  • You may continue using the version installed at expiry indefinitely.
  • To receive further updates, renew at a discounted renewal price.

8. Intellectual Property

The Software is licensed, not sold. Magenear retains all intellectual property rights. The Malware Monitor name, logo, and trademarks are property of Magenear.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. MAGENEAR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE FREE FROM BUGS OR WILL DETECT EVERY THREAT.

10. Limitation of Liability

MAGENEAR'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LICENSE FEE YOU PAID. MAGENEAR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCLUDING DATA LOSS OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

11. Termination

This license terminates automatically upon:

  • Your material breach of any provision of this Agreement.
  • Issuance of a refund under our Refund Policy.

Upon termination, you must uninstall the Software and destroy all copies.

12. Governing Law

Any dispute arising from this Agreement shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting [email protected]. If you are a consumer in the EU, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
